As a former Head of the Sanitary Department, I
Gibson volued Inspector Tatson's services mat highly as also did sil the former Heads of the Department with whom I came in touch. The tutise of Inspector in drge of the Cattle Depot and Slaughter House require the exercise of unlimited tact, scrupulous honesty, mergy and no mall amount of besin power as the accounts and book-keeping arɔ none too easy. Inspector Yabsen har shown in a worked menmure all these qualities, and, above all, throughout his whole service including the black period of 1907 when a number of Sonitory Inspectors were dismissed for accepting bribag as Government servmts, Inapactor #atson's record raminat absolutely clem nd unblemished.
Under the circumstances, although he ig physically unfit to remain any longer in the tropica, kr. Tabзon still capable of good honest work, and as he has a large family to suport, hia posion requires supplementing. I therefore strongly recoz end that Inspector Watson's good and loyal services in this Colony may be brought to the special notice of the Secretary of State for the Colonies with the request that, if possible, he my boivon such agzistrace ns will enable him to obtain a suitsole appoint- -ment in Scotland.
